Duty Scheme Assistant – ASAP

London (Tower Hamlets)

£24,547 (including inner London Weighting) + 5% pension contribution, season ticket loan and childcare vouchers

Full time 35 hours per week

ASAP is a small and dynamic charity aiming to reduce the destitution of asylum seekers through protecting their legal rights to food and shelter. They are the leading epxerts in asylum support law.

ASAP are recruiting for a Duty Scheme Assistant. This is a crucial role to support the running of ASAP’s duty scheme representation at the Asylum Support Tribunal, which provides free legal advice and representation to destitute asylum seekers.

The purpose of the post is:

– To provide administrative support to the duty scheme
– Ensure ASAP’s office at the Tribunal is regularly maintained
– Assist the Duty Scheme Co-ordinator with the administration of ASAP’s destitution event and network meetings.
