Fight until everyone is treated with respect!

May 2023 Newsletter

Dear supporters,

As migrants and refugees continue to be vilified, your solidarity is more important than ever.

In this newsletter, we share our thoughts on the Government’s appalling inhumane Migration Bill, as well as its decision to put people seeking safety in unsuitable accommodation. Read more on how we have been challenging its dehumanising policies below.

We have dedicated some of this newsletter to exploring the intersections between migrant justice, racial justice and worker justice. As an intersectional charity fighting for transformational change, we believe this is a necessary conversation to have. Read on below to hear about how these struggles are intertwined, and what we have been up to in commemoration of worker rights.

This month we have also been busy with our Words Matter campaign and lots of exciting things have happened! We’ve included our recent statement and graphic, as well as a Words Matter video guide and details on how you can commission us for a workshop.

Finally, we include a brief overview of the work we have been doing to fight the digital Hostile Environment.

Our Government continues to trample on refugee rights. But we will not rest until everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

In solidarity,

The MRN team
