Will you stand against scapegoating?

Newsletter: June 2023

Dear supporters,

As migrants and refugees continue to be scapegoated and vilified, your solidarity is more important than ever.

Over the past month, we have been busy challenging the Government’s dehumanising treatment of refugees, by repeatedly calling attention to their segregated and racist refugee system, and continuing to stand firmly against the decision to put people seeking safety in unsuitable accommodation. We also urged the public to reject the Government’s inflammatory narratives surrounding the release of the net migration figures. Read more on what we have been doing below.

As an intersectional charity fighting for transformational change, we believe it is important to dedicate some of this newsletter to exploring the intersections between migrant justice and queer liberation as part of our Pride month reflections. Read on below to hear about how these struggles are intertwined.

As always, we have been busy with our Words Matter campaign whilst eating Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream (find out why below) and continuing the important Challenge The Checks campaign: read our blogs below.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
In solidarity,
The MRN team
