We must fight against all systems of oppression

December 2023 Newsletter

It is truly a scary time to be a migrant or racialised person in the UK. We must not stop fighting against the continuous attacks on migrants, including asylum seekers, and we cannot become complacent.

This month, we have spent a lot of time speaking out against the Government’s cruel Rwanda deportation plan. With the announcement of the Safety of Rwanda Bill, the Government’s stance has never been more clear: it believes that some people are less worthy than others, and it will stop at nothing to deny their fundamental human rights and their access to protection.

We have also been incredibly busy across our campaigns, and this month we have launched a manifesto in Parliament as well as our first online zine! Find out more below.

As we approach the new year, we reaffirm our commitment to fighting against all systems of oppression. MRN will continue to stand in solidarity with all migrants, including refugees, to create a world where no one is punished by borders or cruel immigration systems.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and wishing you all a restful break.

In solidarity,

The MRN Team
